Any High School Student working must have a valid work permit on file with the school and employer. If you are 18 years of age you will still need to obtain a work permit as long as you are a high school student.
Students need to be hired first before completing the application.
Valid during the School Year only. Must renew for summer.
School year work permits are valid from the day they are approved and processed until 1 week after the last student school day. Processing takes 2-3 school days minimum. Make sure to renew your expiring work permit from the summer at least 1 week in advance. Expiration date can be found on your work permit and you are encouraged to mark that on your calendar.
