Welcome to James Logan High School, Home of the Colts!
At James Logan High School, we believe that success is not something that is handed to you; it is something you choose to pursue every single day. Your education belongs to you. Every class you attend, every conversation you have, every activity you join, and every challenge you overcome becomes part of the person you are becoming. The choices you make today will shape the opportunities you create tomorrow.
One of the greatest lessons you can learn is to take ownership of your future. Don’t wait for someone else to create opportunities for you. Be the person who asks the questions, takes the initiative, solves the problems, and isn’t afraid to try something new. Innovation begins with the courage to step forward when others hesitate. Your path to success will not always be clearly marked, but those willing to create their own path often discover the greatest rewards.
For more than six decades, James Logan High School has built a legacy that few schools can match. Our history is filled with extraordinary accomplishments, from championship athletic teams to nationally recognized programs in Speech and Debate, Band, Color Guard, Choir, and countless other academic, artistic, and extracurricular pursuits. These achievements were not built by chance. They were built by generations of students who embraced hard work, commitment, and a belief that they could accomplish something greater than themselves.
What makes Logan truly special, however, is not simply the banners hanging in our gymnasium or the trophies displayed throughout our campus. It is the sense of belonging that has been passed from one generation to the next. Our alumni return because Logan left a lasting mark on their lives. They come back to teach in our classrooms, coach our athletic teams, mentor our students, and even choose James Logan as the place where their own children will receive an education. They return because they remember what it felt like to be part of something bigger than themselves; a family that believed in them before they fully believed in themselves.
That spirit continues today.
We are proud of everything James Logan High School has accomplished, yet we also recognize that our journey is not complete. We are not the number one high school in California, but we are determined to become one of the very best.
