This school year, thus far, has ben incredible. Our students have returned with an energy that is indicative of what Logan used to be. Shouts out to our incredible staff who work behind the scenes to keep us afloat. Student Leadership, excellent aura and school spirit. We will need that this week at this Friday’s football game!

- LUNCH TIME RALLY
Last Friday we held our first rally of the year. It was incredible to see all of the students in the Pavilion during lunch. The participation of all students was very exciting to see. If you didn’t get a chance to go, make it a point to attend the next one. Well done, ASB!

- BLACK AND RED FRIDAYS
Students and staff, as a reminder to show our school spirit, every Friday will be BLACK and RED attire.
You never know what you can win or receive just for sporting your school colors!!
Parents and students, join us on Thursday, Sept. 8th at 6:00 pm to meet your student’s teachers and learn about classroom policies.
- SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL (SSC)
JLHS will be having it usual School Site Council (SSC) every 3rd Thursday of the month. Our first one of the year will be on Sept. 15th at 5:30 -7:00 pm in the Reference Room in the Logan Library. Join us to have refreshments and discuss items that need your input to ensure that our students have what they need to succeed. Hope to see you there.
- CLUB RECRUITMENT FAIR
Colts, come check out the Club Recruitment Fair (2 Days) on 9/13, Tuesday & 9/15, Thursday during both lunches in Colt Court.
Music will be playing and Jimmy will interact with everyone.
Students will have the opportunity to learn about the clubs Logan has to offer and hopefully join one!
- NHUSD ELIMINATE HATE SPEECH CAMPAIGN
Last week we started the New Haven Unified and James Logan’s campaign to eliminate hate speech. Here’s a photo of the bracelets that were haded out to every student. Let’s change what happens on this campus and throughout our communities. Spread Love!
- PARENT/STUDENT DROPOFFS
REMINDER: Parents, please, do not drop off your students in main parking lot in front of the Pavilion or the small parking lot near the flagpole.
Drop offs should be made in the main parking lot on the corner of Alvarado-Niles and H St. I would advise that you all avoid H St. at all costs. However, you may drop your student off along the curb in front of the school.
- TARDY SWEEPS
Students, please be aware that your main goal is to be in class. We will be assisting you in various areas on campus to make sure that you get there on time.
If you are swept in the tardy sweep, you will be assigned a detention. If you do not serve it, you will be issued another consequence and placed on the exclusion list.
If you have any questions, please see your House Principal.

- RALLY DURANTE LA HORA DEL ALMUERZO
El pasado viernes celebramos nuestro primer rally del año. Fue increíble ver a todos los estudiantes en el Pabellón durante el almuerzo. La participación de todos los estudiantes fue muy emocionante de ver. Si no tuviste la oportunidad de ir, asegúrate de asistir al próximo. ¡Bien hecho, ASB!
- VIERNES NEGRO Y ROJO
Los estudiantes y el personal, como recordatorio para mostrar nuestro espíritu escolar, todos los viernes usarán vestimenta NEGRA y ROJA.
¡Nunca sabes lo que puedes ganar o recibir solo por llevar los colores de tu escuela!
- CLASE PATALO
24/8 – Estudiantes, salgan durante ambos almuerzos y sean parte de esto en la revelación en el patio de los 300. Las clases revelarán su tema para el año para Homecoming. Habrá comida, diversión y música. ¡Muestre su espíritu para su clase!
- NOCHE DE REGRESO A LA ESCUELA
Padres y estudiantes, únase a nosotros el jueves 8 de septiembre a las 6:00 p. m. para conocer a los maestros de su estudiante y conocer las políticas del salón de clases.
- CONSEJO ESCOLAR (SSC)
JLHS tendrá su Consejo Escolar (SSC) habitual cada tercer jueves del mes. El primero del año será el 15 de septiembre de 5:30 a 7:00 pm en la Sala de Referencia de la Biblioteca Logan. Únase a nosotros para tomar un refrigerio y discutir los elementos que necesitan su aporte para garantizar que nuestros estudiantes tengan lo que necesitan para tener éxito. Espero verte allí.
- FERIA DE RECLUTAMIENTO DE CLUBES
Potros, vengan a ver la Feria de Reclutamiento de Clubes (2 Días) el 13/9, martes y 15/9, jueves durante ambos almuerzos en Colt Court.
Se reproducirá música y Jimmy interactuará con todo el mundo.
Los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de aprender acerca de la
clubes que Logan tiene para ofrecer y, con suerte, unirse a uno.
- NHUSD ELIMINAR CAMPAÑA DE DISCURSO DE ODIO
Esta semana comienza la campaña de New Haven Unified y James Logan para eliminar el discurso de odio. Nuestro objetivo es unificar a toda nuestra familia Logan y a todos en todo el distrito y nuestra comunidad. El mundo necesita unirse para combatir la ignorancia y el odio que se han ido durante siglos. Cambiemos lo que sucede en este campus y en todas nuestras comunidades. ¡Esparce amor!
- ENTREGA DE PADRES/ESTUDIANTES RECORDATORIO:
Padres, por favor, no dejen a sus estudiantes en el estacionamiento principal frente al Pabellón o en el estacionamiento pequeño cerca del asta de la bandera.
Las devoluciones deben hacerse en el estacionamiento principal en la esquina de Alvarado-Niles y H St. Les aconsejo que eviten H St. a toda costa. Sin embargo, puede dejar a su estudiante en la acera frente a la escuela.
- ENTREGA BARRIDAS DE TARDANZAS
Estudiantes, tengan en cuenta que su objetivo principal es estar en clase. Te ayudaremos en varias áreas del campus para asegurarnos de que llegues a tiempo.
Si es barrido en el barrido de tardanzas, se le asignará una detención. Si no lo cumple, se le impondrá otra consecuencia y se le colocará en la lista de exclusión.
