Great job at the Guru Nanak Half Marathon.  Mauricio Picado 1st, Sage Bringas 1st, Skylar Dalmen 1st, Mason Oania 1st, Jazzy Mohem 1st, Taylor Cabael 2nd, Yavinder Grewal 2nd, Riley Harper 2nd, Evan Harper 2nd.

Great job to the Cross Country Team at MVAL Championships 19 athletes were All-League.  Jasmine Sena and Jiayoa Yee were winners.  Frosh/Soph Boys, Girls JV and Mens Varsity were Team Champions.

JLHS Girls Volleyball continued its NCS run with a 3 - 0 defeat of Castro Valley on Saturday night.  They will host #3 California this Wednesday night 7:00 p.m. at Logan in the semifinals of the tournament.  Come out and cheer our girls on!  

ACTIVITIES    

Heritage Day this Thursday November 9th. Wear whatever cultural attire you identify with and come take a picture in colt court at lunch!

 The marching band had another successful weekend. They competed at a show at Independence High School on Saturday evening and won 1st place while winning all five caption awards: High Music, High Visual, High General Effect, High Percussion, and High Auxiliary. The kids have been working very hard to make this show come to life and are doing a great job. If you have any band students in your classes, please congratulate them for a successful weekend.

There are two weeks left of the marching band season. If you want to see the show, we are hosting a competition at Logan this coming weekend. The show starts at 1:50 p.m. And will go until 9:30 p.m. Band boosters will be selling tickets at the main stadium entrance. There will be 28 bands here competing all day. The James Logan band will be the last band going on at 9:15 p.m. I hope to see some of you there!

Girls Volleyball just completed an amazing regular season and is gearing up for NCS to start Tuesday night.  They finished with an overall record of 33 - 3, in which they posted an undefeated 14 - 0 record in MVAL League Play.  Over the course of that league play they lost only a single set.  Congrats to Coach Guzman, your staff and the girls.  If you have any of the girls in your class, make sure to tell them great job and good luck when NCS starts next week!

Girls Volleyball just completed an amazing regular season and is gearing up for NCS to start Tuesday night.  They finished with an overall record of 33 - 3, in which they posted an undefeated 14 - 0 record in MVAL League Play.  Over the course of that league play they lost only a single set.  Congrats to Coach Guzman, your staff and the girls.  If you have any of the girls in your class, make sure to tell them great job and good luck when NCS starts next week!

ACTIVITIES                           
The James Logan High School Band and Color Guard took first place at this weekend's Western Band Association competition at Valley Christian.  With a score of 70.00 and taking all five caption awards: General Effect, High Visual, High Music, High Percussion, and High Auxiliary the James Logan Band and Color Guard brought home the Gold from their first competition of the season. Congratulation to all Band and Guard members and staff!  

Homecoming dance is this Saturday October 21st from 7-10 pm in the pavilion! Be sure to get your tickets at the ticket window every day this week at lunch. Tickets are $7 or $5 with an ASB sticker. Make sure to get your tickets early, prices go up at the door!

The James Logan High School Band and Color Guard took first place at this weekend's Western Band Association competition at Valley Christian.  With a score of 70.00 and taking all five caption awards: General Effect, High Visual, High Music, High Percussion, and High Auxiliary the James Logan Band and Color Guard brought home the Gold from their first competition of the season. Congratulation to all Band and Guard members and staff!
