Announcement 10/5/15

SPORTS

  • Any students interested in joining the wrestling team see Coach Bagaoisan in the weight room after school on Tuesday’s and Thursday.

CLUB                                                    

  • Join A.C.E. and unleash your inner artist.  A.C.E. stands for art, creativity, and expression.  Meetings are every Tuesday after school in Room 416. 

  • Come to the first Bollywood Dance Clubs practice on Monday in the Dance Studio after school.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Remember to bring your testing ticket and current ID when taking the SAT or ACT tests.  Current ID can be a Driver's License, State ID, Passport or School ID.  School ID must be the actual ID (not a photocopy), and it must be for the current school year!

  •  The last day to purchase your PSAT ticket at the student window will be Wednesday, Oct. 7 and the last day to purchase your ticket on line is Thursday, Oct. 8.

  •  PSAT will be given to all 10th graders on October 14.  There is no charge for 10th graders to take the test and you do not need a ticket.  However if you are a 11th grader there is a $25 fee to take the test.  You can purchase tickets online or at the student window. If you have any questions, see Ms. Hull in House 2.  

  • Kaplan will be providing a Mock SAT and ACT Combo exam on Saturday October 24, 2015 at 8:00am in the color guard room.  Purchase your tickets in House 3 with Ms. Meza during both lunches.  Tickets are $10.

  • Students the hallways in the Main Building are closed during lunch.  This includes the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s classrooms.  If you need to go across from Colt Court to the 200s or 300s... or the other way around, please use the hallway by the library or go around the main building.  The hallways are closed so that classes that are being held in the Main Building are not disturbed during lunch.     

  • Students, a reminder about personal electronic devices: playing music on speakers on campus is not allowed. Please make sure that you are not playing music on your speakers while at school, as it can be disruptive. This includes during passing periods and at lunch. Similar to other unauthorized use of personal electronic devices, the speakers can be confiscated and returned to parents and guardians only.    

  • This week's college presentations here at Logan include Pacific University in Forestville Oregon, Maryville University in St. Louis Missouri, Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont California, and the University of Chicago in Illinois. If you would like to sit in on any of these presentation be sure to sign up in the Career Center.

  • Congratulations to Alexandra Newsom, Stanford Invitation Cross Country Champion the first female to achieve this in school history.

  •  A big shout out to our Girls Volleyball Varsity team for taking 1st place in the Gold Division at the Irvington tournament last weeken.   They defeated Castro Valley High School,rroyo High School, Half Moon Bay, and San Leandro High School to   bring home the gold!  Go LADY COLTS!

  • The Ghebray Invitational Cross Country meet will be tomorrow at Quarry Lakes.  Races for all ages, 9:00 a.m. start time.

CLUB

  • The Youth Bible study meets during lunch every Friday in Room 418.

  • Mecha will be selling raspados, Mexican Icees after school in the 400”s today.

  • Do you want to learn dance?  Come to Creators University in the Staff Lounge on Friday after school for the first meeting.

  •  Tonight is the Ohlone College Faire Night on their Fremont campus. One hundred plus colleges from across our country and Canada will be tabling in the Ohlone gym.
  • This week's colleges visiting Logan include Johns Hopkins, FIDM, Northwest Christian University, and the NROTC scholarship presentation. If you would like to attend, any of the Logan presentations.  Be sure to sign up in the Career Center. Presentations are open to all grade levels. This week's college presentation lineup includes Johns Hopkins, FIDM, NROTC College Scholarship and a last minute add on, Northwest Christian University. To attend any of these presentations held on Logan's campus be sure to sign up in the Career Center.

  • Students the hallways in the Main Building are closed during lunch.  This includes the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s classrooms.  If you need to go across from Colt Court to the 200s or 300s... or the other way around, please use the hallway by the library or go around the main building.  The hallways are closed so that classes that are being held in the Main Building are not disturbed during lunch.

  •  Students interested in finding out more about UC San Diego and their application process may attend today's presentation after school in the little theater.

ACTIVITIES 

  • Anyone interested in joining us for an exciting trip to China, please come to room 313 for the first info meeting at 6:30 pm tomorrow.  

  •     Are you interested in seeing the world?  We are going to Ecuador and Galapagos Islands!  Come to Room 534 on Thursday September 24 at 7:00 p.m. to learn more.

MISCELLANEOUS

  •    Remember to bring your testing ticket and current ID when taking the SAT or ACT tests.  Current ID can be a Driver's License, State ID, Passport or School ID.  School ID must be the actual ID (not a photocopy), and it must be for the current school year!
