Announcement 9/15/17


 Over the weekend, the varsity girls water polo team took 1st place at the Newark Memorial Invitational. GO Lady Colts.

Are you interested in joining the wrestling team?  If so, there will be a sign up meeting next Thursday, Sept. 21 in the weight room after school, please note the change of date.  If you're not in a fall sports, it is important that you attend the meeting. If you have any questions, please see Coach Bagaoisan.

Are you Interested in Cross Country?  Come to the Track after school, see Coach Webb. The real reason to run is to test the limits of the human heart.

  Off season track and field starting Monday, Zero period.  If you think your fast or want to run, jump or throw meet Coach Oliver in the Weight Room at 7:15 A.M.


Attention all Students, there will be games and activities today during lunch to get ready for the back to school dance.  Come out to Colt Court on those days for a chance to win pre admission to the dance this Friday, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Regular admission will be $! For freshman and $3 for all other students.

 Hurricane Harvey Fundraiser ends Friday September 22nd (Manila envelopes are being passed out to teachers and will be collected on that Friday).                                                                                                            
CLASS (Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, Freshmen) 

Seniors! If you know that you need to take extra classes to graduate make an appointment with your counselor and pick up an application for credit recovery. Class starts on September 18th, the class fills up quick! If you 

   Of Books and Pens Club is accepting book donations for its annual Don't Judge a Book By Its Cover Fair. Please bring book donations to Room 207.

Do like discussing current events and politics? Join Close Up and spend a week in Washington D.C. seeing our government in action.  Come to the meeting Tuesday after school in Room 71.  


School Year Work Permits Application for 2017-2018 School Year are now available in the Career Center in Colt Necessities Store area, in each House Office, Main Office and on the James Logan website. Once completed, return the
Work Permit application with a signed coy of your Social security Card to Mr.Richberg in Room 63 during 4th period ONLY for processing.

All lunch applications need to be turned in BEFORE October 10, if they are not submitted you will be put into PAID status this means you have to pay $4.00 for your lunch. 

The PSAT will be given on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 during the school day. All JLHS sophomores are given the test at no cost (DO NOT BUY a Ticket). There will be a few extra tests ordered for other Logan Students. These tickets can be bought on line. Tickets will also go on sale at the student window Tuesdays and Thursdays at both lunches beginning Sept. 26 - Oct. 17, 2017. Please contact Ms. Hull, House 2 Principal, if you have any questions.

You can pick up SAT fee waivers in House 2 from Ms. Hull. ACT waivers have not arrived yet. An email will be sent out or a notice in the bulletin when they do arrive.

When taking the SAT or ACT please remember to bring your ticket and ID. ID can be your current school ID, driver's license, or passport. You must actually have the ID on you, not a picture on your phone. 

Life Touch Pictures are in the Main Office for pick up if you purchased your ID picture, see Ms. Montague.  

If you have turned in your bus pass registration forms during the week of orientation or by August 29th, please come to the Logan Family Center located in Colt Court with your student ID to pick up your Clipper Card during your lunch period.
