SPORTS  

  • Come support the Baseball team today at 5:00! We are hosting the first round NCS game against College Park. 

  • Congratulations Michael Gallagher, for being awarded MVAL "Player of the Year.

  • Congratulations to the Track and Field Teams Boys North Coast Champions II Jared Espanola broke the Pole Vault meet record at 16-1” It was 52nd time a Track and Field Team has won the North Coast.

  • All students interested in playing water polo next school are expected to attend the water polo meeting. The meeting will take place in room 458 after school on Wednesday, May 31st. Contact Coach Green for more information.

  • All student please return your library books and/or pay fines as soon as possible.

CLUBS

  •   Do you have books at home that you want to get rid of? Come by room 207 anytime between now and the end of the school year to donate books for Of Books and pen's Don't Judge a Book event! We will be accepting all books! 

  • Acts of Random Kindness has a meeting today in room 121! It will be our last meeting of the year. 

  • The Youth Alive Christian Club meets today after school in Room 418.

  • Bible Study is every Friday during both lunches in Room 418.

  • The Of Books and Pens Club will celebrate its final meeting of the year this Thursday after school in Room 207. All are welcome to enjoy the fun and refreshments. 

  • Come to BSU (Black Student Union) every Thursday at 3:45 after school in Room 529.  All students are welcome.  

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Attention all students who signed up for AP United States History next year: there is an important informational meeting today during lunch both lunch periods. 4° in Ms. Lombardi's Room - 71 and 5° in Mr. Henderson's Room - 454. We look forward to meeting you and sharing information about the class and the summer work. See you there!

  • There is an important Announcement for all students who signed up for AP Chemistry next year.  There is an important meeting on Thursday May 25 at 3:30 in Mrs. Gallup’s Room 422.  Information about Summer Assignments will be discussed.  

  • Students needing waivers for the SAT or ACT need to see Ms. Hull in House 2.

  • Remember to bring your testing ticket and current ID when taking the SAT or ACT tests.  Current ID can be a Driver's License, State ID, Passport or School ID.  School ID must be the actual ID (not a photocopy), and it must be the current school year. 

  • SAT AND ACT PREP RESOURCES: Need SAT or ACT Prep resources?  Go to James Logan.Org.to join a James Logan SAT or ACT Prep class.  Click the link at the top of the home page or go to student resources for more information.  You will need your student Gmail account to join a Prep class.  Joining is free, sign up now.  

  • Students the hallways in the Main Building are closed during lunch.  This includes the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s classrooms.  If you need to go across from Colt Court to the 200s or 300s or the other way around, please use the hallway by the library or go around the main building.  The hallways are closed so that classes that are being held in the Main Building are not disturbed during lunch.

  • Students, if you are holding on to your completed community service forms, please turn them into the box in the Career Center during lunch. 

  • Yearbooks are going fast! Get yours before they sell out. Purchase them in Room 223 on Wednesdays or Fridays at lunch or after school $85 with ASB $95 without. We will also be at the student window every Friday at lunch. Please note that we will no longer be accepting checks.

  • Services for Shane Marcelino All services are being held at St. Anne's Church. Viewing: Friday, 5/26, from 3:30 P.M . 9:00 P.M. (Vigil at 7:00 P.M.) Funeral Mass: Saturday, 5/27 at 12:00 P.M.

  • New Haven Adult School is having 2 - 3-day Driver's Education classes.  June 19th, 20th & 21st and August 7th, 8th & 9th.
