Announcement 5/18/17




  • The badminton team placed third at NCS this weekend.  Three teams placed in the top 3 and qualified to move forward. Steven Nguyen and Samrat Yadav in boys doubles, Ryan Chung and Vicky Liu in mixed doubles and Tony Luizhou in boys singles. Good luck next week at Norcals!

  • Congratulations to the Track and Field Teams 43th straight MVAL Championship- all levels, 52 MVAL Champions, 161 MVAL Placers. 


  • PIA (Peers in Action) will be hosting a Harm Reduction Event during both lunches near the 500's on May 24. 

CLASS (Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, Freshmen)    

  • Attention Seniors!  It is time to put in your requests for graduation tickets.  Check your school email from Mr. Brar or visit the senior activities webpage at www.jameslogan.org/senioractivities.  All requests for graduation tickets must be entered by Friday, May 19.


  •   Do you have books at home that you want to get rid of? Come by room 207 anytime between now and the end of the school year to donate books for Of Books and pen's Don't Judge a Book event! We will be accepting all books!

  • The Logan Gay Straight Alliance will have its final meeting of the year after school this Friday in Room 207. We'll celebrate with pizza and soda. All are welcome to join in the fun. 

  • The Youth Alive Christian Club meets today after school in Room 418.

  • Bible Study is every Friday during both lunches in Room 418.

  • There is a BSU meeting after school Thursday in Room 529.


  • Students needing waivers for the SAT or ACT need to see Ms. Hull in House 2.

  • Remember to bring your testing ticket and current ID when taking the SAT or ACT tests.  Current ID can be a Driver's License, State ID, Passport or School ID.  School ID must be the actual ID (not a photocopy), and it must be the current school year. 

  • SAT AND ACT PREP RESOURCES: Need SAT or ACT Prep resources?  Go to James Logan.Org.to join a James Logan SAT or ACT Prep class.  Click the link at the top of the home page or go to student resources for more information.  You will need your student Gmail account to join a Prep class.  Joining is free, sign up now. Students the hallways in the Main Building are closed during lunch.  This includes the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s classrooms.  If you need to go across from Colt Court to the 200s or 300s or the other way around, please use the hallway by the library or go around the main building.  The hallways are closed so that classes that are being held in the Main Building are not disturbed during lunch.

  • Students, if you are holding on to your completed community service forms, please turn them into the box in the Career Center during lunch. 

  • Colt Necessities is selling Shirts and Sweaters but supply is limited.  Stop by the Career Center during both lunches.   

  • Yearbooks are going fast! Get yours before they sell out. Purchase them in Room 223 on Wednesdays or Fridays at lunch or after school $85 with ASB $95 without. We will also be at the student window every Friday at lunch. Please note that we will no longer be accepting checks. 

  • UCALL (Union City American Little League) is offering Community Service hours Sunday, May 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to supervise carnival games.  If you’re interested email Sunny at ucallsunny@gmail.com.  

  • All Ballet Folklorico memebers, Saturday at 12pm in the Little Theater, we will have a very important end of the year meeting, no rehearsal!  Please attend!  Also, performers must turn in ALL your costumes and please do not forget they must clean.
