CLASS (Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, Freshmen)    

  • Class of 2017, we would like very much to include you in our June 1st Honors Convocation celebration so we are asking you to please share your accomplishments, scholarships and awards with us by filling out the online WOOHOO Form, which can be found on the College & Career and Seniors-Post-Secondary webpages under the Counselor's Corner link.  The deadline to submit your form is Friday, May 12 so don't delay.  Please see your counselor if you have any questions.

CLUBS

  • Bible Study is every Friday during both lunches in Room 418.        

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Students needing waivers for the SAT or ACT need to see Ms. Hull in House 2.

  • Remember to bring your testing ticket and current ID when taking the SAT or ACT tests.  Current ID can be a Driver's License, State ID, Passport or School ID.  School ID must be the actual ID (not a photocopy), and it must be the current school year. 

  • SAT AND ACT PREP RESOURCES: Need SAT or ACT Prep resources?  Go to James Logan.Org.to join a James Logan SAT or ACT Prep class.  Click the link at the top of the home page or go to student resources for more information.  You will need your student Gmail account to join a Prep class.  Joining is free, sign up now.  

  • Students the hallways in the Main Building are closed during lunch.  This includes the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s classrooms.  If you need to go across from Colt Court to the 200s or 300s or the other way around, please use the hallway by the library or go around the main building.  The hallways are closed so that classes that are being held in the Main Building are not disturbed during lunch.

  • Students, if you are holding on to your completed community service forms, please turn them into the box in the Career Center during lunch. 

  • Do you drive to school?  Then remember that all yellow parking spots are for staff only, with a valid parking permit clearly visible.  Any cars parked in yellow spots during the entire school day that do not have a valid Logan parking permit visible can be issued a parking ticket by UCPD, or towed at the owner's expense. 

  • The Ballet Folklórico will be having its annual Concierto de Primavera (Spring Dance Concert) Friday May 12th 8pm in the Center of the Performing Arts. They will be premiering new dances from various regions of Mexico. Live music will be provided by Mariachi and Puerto Rican Folklórico musicians. Two local children groups will also perform. Tickets will be reserve seating this year; Adults $20; $15 Senior Citizens; $12 for students with I.D. and $10 for children under 12 years.  Please contact Jaime Huertas by emailing him at Logan or personal email<salsahuertas@yahoo.com> More information on the website.

  • CHOIR AUDITIONS!!  Auditions for the 2018 Choirs will be held in the Choir Room (721) beginning at 3:30 pm on April 17, April 20th and April 21st.   Auditions for Advanced Concert Choir and Jazz Singers will be on April 17. Be prepared to sing a one minute audition song. Auditions for Show Choir will be on April 20 and April 21st. You will also sing a one minute audition song and learn choreography. For Show Choir, you must attend both days. If you have any questions, please see Ms McShane in Room 721. 

  • Ladies, do you still need a dress for prom?  No need to go too far! Logan's princess club has hundreds of new and slightly used prom dresses available for you at no cost. Bring a friend! The closet is in the old choir room, inside of the little theater building. It will be open on Wednesday and Fridays after school. See Ms Esquivez in Room 407, Ms. Bodadilla in Room 507 or Ms. Dal Porto in Room 42 for more information.

  • Logan High School Cheer Try-Out Information meeting April 28, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Spot. Cheer Clinic May 11 – 12 2017 and May 15 – 17 2017 at 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Guard Room.  Cheer Try-Outs May 18, 2017 6:00 p.m.  Incoming Freshman June 12, 2017 6:00 p.m.

  • AP Pre-Administration Sessions: 4/24-4/28 all students taking an AP test, must attend a pre-administration.  

  • If you cannot attend the pre-administration for your alpha, please attend any pre-administration you are able to attend.  AP PRE-ADMINISTRATION SESSIONS WILL BE HELD IN THE LIBRARY REFERENCE ROOM @ LUNCH AND AFTER SCHOOL Next week!
