MISCELLANEOUS

  • Students needing waivers for the SAT or ACT need to see Ms. Hull in House 2.

  • Remember to bring your testing ticket and current ID when taking the SAT or ACT tests.  Current ID can be a Driver's License, State ID, Passport or School ID.  School ID must be the actual ID (not a photocopy), and it must be the current school year. 

  • SAT AND ACT PREP RESOURCES: Need SAT or ACT Prep resources?  Go to James Logan.Org.to join a James Logan SAT or ACT Prep class.  Click the link at the top of the home page or go to student resources for more information.  You will need your student Gmail account to join a Prep class.  Joining is free, sign up now.  

  •  Students the hallways in the Main Building are closed during lunch.  This includes the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s classrooms.  If you need to go across from Colt Court to the 200s or 300s or the other way around, please use the hallway by the library or go around the main building.  The hallways are closed so that classes that are being held in the Main Building are not disturbed during lunch.

  • SAT/ACT mock practice test Saturday February 25 only $10, in the Old Band Room from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. See your counselor for more information! Registration deadline is Friday February 17.

  • Students, if you are holding on to your completed community service forms, please turn them into the box in the Career Center during lunch.

  • Do you drive to school?  Then remember that all yellow parking spots are for staff only, with a valid parking permit clearly visible.  Any cars parked in yellow spots during the entire school day that do not have a valid Logan parking permit visible can be issued a parking ticket by UCPD, or towed at the owner's expense.  Please remember to park in the correct designated parking spots.       

  • Summer School applications are now available in each office.  Summer school starts June 19 runs through July 17

  • The New Haven Pilipino American Society for Education is proud to announce our annual scholarships for 2016-17.  These scholarships were established to support students of Filipino and Filipino-American descent, and their college endeavors. There are several scholarships available, each with different criteria, so come check out which ones fit you! Seniors can pick up an application from the House 3 office. The deadline to submit is March 24. 

  • Mecha is collecting cereal for the next two weeks to help fill the Kid Zone pantry to help feed the displaced families in Union City.  See Ms. Esquivez for more information.  You can drop off cereal to any of the following classes 407, 403, 444, 447, 503, 507, 201, or 209. 

Time is running out to purchase your yearbook! Please come to room 223 during your lunch Monday, Wednesday or Friday! We will also be at the student window every Friday during your lunch. Prices are $85 with ASB $95 without.

New Haven Adult School is offering 28 hours of Driver's Education during Spring Break, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday , April  3rd, 4th & 5th. Cost is $125. Registration forms are located in the front office and each of the house offices. For more information or to register call the Adult School at (510) 489-2185   

 Mission College will be here to present on Monday, March 20 during 3rd period in the Career Center.  They are located in Santa Clara near Great America and Levi's Stadium.  Mission College's specialty programs include Nursing, Culinary Arts, Fire Technology, Floriculture, Manufacturing & Industrial Technology, Mechanical Drafting, Printing & Lithography, Environmental Technology, Community Health Care Worker, Music, and Psychiatric Technician.  
Also
College of San Mateo will be here to present on Friday, March 24 during 3rd period in the Career Center.  They are well known for the following programs: Nursing, Fire Science, Cosmetology, Dental Assisting, Electronics, Kinesiology, Criminal Justice, Engineering, Accounting, and Psychology.
