  • Boys’ volleyball tryouts will be Feb. 6 at 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Al Rod Gym, and Feb. 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Al Rod Gym.

  • Are you interested in joining the Track & Field team?  If you are, practice begins on Monday, February 6, at 3:40 p.m.  You will need to turn in a completed physical form for the current calendar school year to participate, so schedule your physical as soon as possible. Go the Big Green after school and ask for Coach Muhammad or Coach Webb for more information.   


  •   District African American Advisory (DAAA) to Host Zumba FundraiserMark your calendars!  DAAA will host a Zumba Night to raise money for the Dream Scholarship on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Itliong-Vera Cruz Middle School (Multipurpose Room).  Join former Logan Teacher, Jacki Sprague and fellow instructors for an exciting event!  $10 cash at the door. If you are unable to attend the event, you can still support the students with a donation using the New Haven Foundation PayPal (please specify "The Dream Scholarship").  Thank you in advance for the support. 

CLASS (Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, Freshmen) 

  • SENIORS: If you or your family wants to buy a dedication space, the last day to purchase is today. Please visit ybpay.lifetouch.com to purchase or stop by room 223 for a flyer of prices.

  •  SAT/ACT mock practice test Saturday February 25 only $10, in the Old Band Room from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. See your counselor for more information! Registration deadline is Friday February 17. 

  •   Students, if you are holding on to your completed community service forms, please turn them into the box in the Career Center during lunch.                                


  • The Youth Alive Bible Study is today during lunch in Room 418.

  • The Logan Gay Straight Alliance will continue to host a free movie today after school, Part 2 of the Academy Award winning The Imitation Game, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley. The movie will begin at 3:35 in Room 207. There will be free freshly popped popcorn and soda for everyone. All are welcome.      


  • Students needing waivers for the SAT or ACT need to see Ms. Hull in House 2.

  • Remember to bring your testing ticket and current ID when taking the SAT or ACT tests.  Current ID can be a Driver's License, State ID, Passport or School ID.  School ID must be the actual ID (not a photocopy), and it must be the current school year.

  • SAT AND ACT PREP RESOURCES: Need SAT or ACT Prep resources?  Go to James Logan.Org.to join a James Logan SAT or ACT Prep class.  Click the link at the top of the home page or go to student resources for more information.  You will need your student Gmail account to join a Prep class.  Joining is free, sign up now. 

  •  Students the hallways in the Main Building are closed during lunch.  This includes the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s classrooms.  If you need to go across from Colt Court to the 200s or 300s or the other way around, please use the hallway by the library or go around the main building.  The hallways are closed so that classes that are being held in the Main Building are not disturbed during lunch.

  • Join us for the Education Summit 2017 for First Generation Students and their Families. Completely Free, Saturday, February 4th, 2017; program runs from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., check-in begins at 9:00 a.m.

  • Where: Cal State East Bay - Hayward Hills Campus in the University Gymnasium, 25800 Carlos Bee Blvd, Hayward, CA 94542. Highlights: Educational and college-related workshops for students of all ages. College and Resource Fair showcasing Northern CSU campuses, community colleges, and area. Also, Cash for College will be there to help Seniors with their FAFSA/Dream ACT. Register @ www.csueastbay.edu/educationsummit
