SPORTS  
Great job Cross Country Team at the Artichoke Invitational.  JV Boys Team were 1st and Frosh/Soph boys 2nd. Maiko Mims won the Frosh/Soph Race, David Hernandez was a impressive 2nd and Rylie Harper took 4th 25 Individual Medalists.

 If you're interested in joining the wrestling team, contact Coach Bagaoisan in the PE office for sign up and information.
If you've sign up already-conditioning is on Tuesdays and Fridays in the weight room from 3:30 to 4:00 pm.
Remember to schedule your physical and complete your registration on family ID. 

Attention soccer enthusiasts anyone interested in playing soccer this year at Logan.  Open fields will begin every Tuesday and Thursday after school at 3:30in the North Field.  Please stop by and speak to Coach Ibarra for further details. 

Boys Basketball Official Open Gym will begin Monday, October 16th 2017, at 4:30 p.m. in the Al Rod gym. 

Girls Basketball Open Gym Every Tuesday & Thursday after school in the Al Rod Gym. If you are interested in trying out for the team come meet the coaches and get the necessary paperwork.                                                                 
ACTIVITIES                           

The James Logan High School Band and Color Guard took first place at this weekend's Western Band Association competition at Valley Christian.  With a score of 70.00 and taking all five caption awards: General Effect, High Visual, High Music, High Percussion, and High Auxiliary the James Logan Band and Color Guard brought home the Gold from their first competition of the season. Congratulation to all Band and Guard members and staff!  

Homecoming dance will be on October 21st at 7 pm in the pavilion. Tickets are on sale at the ticket window October 9th. Make sure to get there early to get the early bird special for ticket prices! We will be having great music, food and a photo booth! 

Guest passes are available for the homecoming dance in room 68 or at the ticket window during both lunch periods. Guest passes are due to your house principal by Thursday October, 19th.
                                                                                                  
CLASS (Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, Freshmen)      

Seniors! If you have not taken your Senior portraits, please call Prestige to schedule your appointment. All portraits must be taken before Winter Break in order to be included in this year's yearbook. Please come to Room 223 if you have any questions. 

Seniors, Seniors, Seniors! Grad night forms are in! If you are interested in going this year on the grad night trip to Disneyland and Six Flags magic mountain, come by room 68 to pick up a flyer. First round of payments for the trip are due on November 9th.

Any student interested in college presentations please visit the College & Career Center website for an updated list of those visiting Logan. This week we will be hosting St. Mary's, UC Santa Barbara, Chapman, Cal Poly and many more. Use the link on the website to sign up and make sure to remember the date, time and location of the presentation. Also please check out the website for the most updated community service opportunities happening. 

Seniors we will be holding ON THE SPOT ADMISSION to Cal State East Bay November 2nd at the CCC. If you would like to meet with an admissions rep and see if you qualify please see Mr. Guzman in the college and career center to sign up for an appointment.

Come get encouraged at the Youth Alive Christian Club that meets every Thursday after school in Room 418.  
 
The French club will be meeting today in room 310 to discuss fundraisers and activities.  All interested attend.  Food will be served

MISCELLANEOUS

If you have turned in your bus pass registration forms on the first day of school August 30, 2017 through September 20, 2017, please come to the Logan Family Center located in Colt Court with your student ID to pick up your Clipper Card during your lunch period.

Come by room 68 during either lunch to nominate someone for class court! Nominations end Friday October 13th. Voting will begin on Monday October 16th!

The PSAT will be given on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 during the school day. All JLHS sophomores are given the test at no cost (DO NOT BUY a Ticket). There will be a few extra tests ordered for other Logan Students. These tickets can be bought on line. Tickets will also go on sale at the student window Tuesdays and Thursdays at both lunches beginning Sept. 26 - Oct. 17, 2017. Please contact Ms. Hull, House 2 Principal, if you have any questions.

ACT fee waivers have arrived. See Ms. Hull in House 2 to get a waiver. 

When taking the SAT or ACT please remember to bring your ticket and ID. ID can be your current school ID, driver's license, or passport. You must actually have the ID on you, not a picture on your phone.

Yearbooks are for sale for $75 with ASB and $80 without. Room 223 on Monday and Wednesday during 4th period lunch or every Friday at the student window during lunch. Prices will go up in December so please purchase soon.
