Announcement 4/19/16

  • The James Logan Performing Arts Departments present this year’s spring musical In the Heights.  In the Heights is a 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical about life in a tight-knit community where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It's a community on the brink of change, and full of hopes and dreams, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind. The groundbreaking music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and book by Quiara Alegría Hudes tell the universal story of chasing your dreams and finding your true home. The performers will have audiences dancing in their seats as they present this energetic, Spanish-infused Pulitzer-prize nominated musical!  Performances are Thursday, April 21 at 4:00 p.m., Friday, April 22 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m.  Tickets are $12 General Admission and $10 Students (with valid ID).
