  •   If you signed up for wrestling, you must have your physical papers turned in to Coach Bagaoisan and your family ID registration done by Friday, Nov 4.  Practice starts on Monday, November 7. New wrestlers should report with Coach Evans after school by the weight room.                                                                               


  •   Do you like nice cars?  Well the organizers of WEKFEST are coming to Logan Sunday.  Please come to the  Charity Car Show and toy drive.  Bring a unwrapped toy for free admission.  Over 200 cars to view and food trucks too.  11am to 3pm at the Big Logan Parking lot.                   

CLASS (Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, Freshmen) 

  •  Seniors!  Do you and your friends want to personalize a page in the back of the yearbook, or does your family want to dedicate a page to you? Come to room 223 for a flyer with prices and more information. Prices vary from $65-$200 based on color and size! 

  • Seniors: Grad Night Deposits are due on Nov. 9th online or to Mr. Glaze in Rm. 67.  Come at lunch or after school.

  •   SENIORS: This Thursday night Logan will be hosting a Cash 4 College workshop from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This workshop is open to all seniors and their parents; and will allow you to complete your FAFSA application in one night with experts on hand to guide you and answer questions.  Bring your parents 2015 income tax return and any other financial documents to this FREE workshop.

  •   Seniors: We need your baby photos! Please submit baby photos to Room 223 or to JamesLoganYearbook@gmail.com. Please include the name of the Senior when sending in the photo. Please send these before the December 20th deadline.    9th and 10th Grade Students: If you are participating in our Alameda County Student Transit Pass Pilot Program and purchased a Union City Transit Pass, or want to purchase a discounted Union City Transit Pass, here is some information you need to know. Your sticker/pass expires October 31, 2016. The new 3-month sticker is valid from November 1st thru January 31st. You may purchase stickers starting Tuesday, October 25 through Friday, October 28 during your lunch period from Mrs. Martin in Colt Court. The discounted price is $54.   •  The Club Council Meeting is today after school in Room 67 to discuss our next club fair. Please make sure you attend this meeting to get all the info.

  • Do you like electronic music?  Are you interested in making EDM or learning DJ?  If so, come by room 509 after school on Wednesday. 

  •  There will be an Of Books and Pens meeting Thursday in Room 207.   We will talk more about the Don’t Judge a Book Even.

  •   Come to BSU (Black Student Union) Thursday, after school at 3:45 in Room 529.  All students are welcome. 

  • Acts of Random Kindness will meet Thursday in Room 121.  Check our face book page at “JLHS Acts of Random Kindness” for more updates.      


  • Remember to bring your testing ticket and current ID when taking the SAT or ACT tests.  Current ID can be a Driver's License, State ID, Passport or School ID.  School ID must be the actual ID (not a photocopy), and it must be for the current school year.

  •  PSAT will be given at JLHS on Nov. 2nd. PSAT tickets are being sold at the student window and can be purchased on line. Tickets will be sold on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at lunchtime only. Tickets will cost $25 and are payable by check or cash at student window and on line with a charge card. Checks should be made payable to JLHS (James Logan H.S.)   If you have any questions, see Ms. Hull in House 2. PSAT will be given to all 10th graders. There is no charge for 10th graders to take the test. However if you are a 11th grader there is a $25 fee to take the test. Tickets may be purchased online or at the student window.  Ticket sales will end Oct. 27th.  If you have any questions, see Ms. Hull in House 2.

  • If you purchased a PSAT ticket on line you can pick up the student study guide at the student window. Also just a reminder that on test day you will need to have a copy of your online ticket receipt and your student ID to get into the test. Any questions see Ms. Hull in House 2.

  • Yearbooks are on sale for $95 without ASB, $85 with ASB. 

  •  Students the hallways in the Main Building are closed during lunch.  This includes the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s classrooms.  If you need to go across from Colt Court to the 200s or 300s or the other way around, please use the hallway by the library or go around the main building.  The hallways are closed so that classes that are being held in the Main Building are not disturbed during lunch.

  • Our first Blood Drive of the year is Nov. 9th in the Old Band Room. Signup at the student windows in the main office at lunch and after school.  Help save a life. New Haven Adult School is offering Driver's Ed class over the breaks; November 21, 22 & 23 and December 19, 20 & 21. Cost is $125. Registration forms are located in your house office. For more information, please call (510) 489-2185. Do you need help in Chemistry?  Get mentoring at lunch in Room 226 for 4th period and Room 315 or 5th period from Tuesday to Thursday.  Do you need help with College Applications?  Come by today to the Reference Room during lunch to get College Application support.  For questions come see Ms. Stephanie at the College and Career Center.   • Health Center News:  HIV & AIDS Awareness Event this Thursday November 3rd and Friday November 4th during both lunches in Colt Court. Come on down, participate in games, win prizes and a chance to win a gift card in our raffle!
