Daily Bulletin

Daily Bulletin - Aug 29, 2018

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year.

The daily bulletin is an important part of the school day - it is our primary method of communicating important updates and announcements to all students and staff.

Schedule Changes - Attention students!  Please make sure to follow your schedule you picked up this morning.  If you are missing a class, please go to Al Rod Gym in Colt Court during that period.  For example, if you do not have anything listed for per 2, go to Al Rod Gym during per 2.  If there are any changes needed in your schedule, please visit your counselor during the times listed on the schedule you received today.  Teachers, please do not send students during class time for schedule changes, unless called by the office. And remember, we cannot make schedule changes to accommodate teacher requests or lunch period preferences.

Warm Body Counts - Attention all teachers!  All per 3 teachers will manually count all students today to confirm our enrollment.  This is critical in establishing proper class sizes and balancing. Teachers, please check your school emails and submit your counts before per 3 ends.

Attendance - Students - one of the areas we will focus on this year is attendance.  It is important to us that all students are in class on time. To help ensure we maintain this focus, we are asking all students and staff for your help.

  • Students - please make sure you are in class before the tardy bell rings, every period.  Let’s establish this good habit from the very start!

  • Teachers - please be at your classroom doors at the one minute bell every day to welcome students into your classroom.

  • 10/10 Rule - students should not be out of the classrooms during the first 10 minutes or the last 10 minutes of class.  This includes going to the restrooms, and TAs running errands for teachers.

  • Passes - all students leaving a class during the class period should have a pass.  Teachers, please make sure to give students a pass any time they are leaving your class during the class period.

Yearbook - The 2019 Yearbook is now on sale!  To help celebrate Logan's 60th Anniversary we will be incorporating augmented reality throughout the book.  You can purchase your yearbook at the Back to School special price of just $70! To purchase online with a credit card go to jameslogan.org/yearbook or you can go to Room 223 after school with cash or a check.  Purchase yours today before the price goes up!
