2018 AP Exam Registration

Registration is open ONLY to LOGAN students

The registration window is FEBRUARY 26-MARCH 9


ONLINE Purchase: 

  1. Parents register their students for exams via Parent Connect (link below). 

  2.  Each full price exam costs $95. Students eligible for free/reduced lunch are also eligible for a fee waiver (each exam will cost $5). The Parent Connect system will automatically apply the waiver.

  3. For step-by-step directs to purchase AP exams online, please see below.

  4. All students are required to attend the pre-registration session according to their last name. Your student MUST attend one session. 

  5. We request that you purchase/register all AP exams in one order, either online or via paper copy.

In-Person Purchase: 

  1. Students can register in person during registration window Tuesday-Friday (not Mondays).   Please see Sarah Muse in the Main Office with your complete  2018 Registration Form, check/cash and Student ID.

Steps to Purchasing AP Exams through Parent Connect:


Step #2: Choose your student from the dropdown menu.

Step #1: Log into Parent Connect. Choose "Accounts" on the left tool bar & click on "Click here to make purchases, payments".

Step #3: Click on the drop down menu to view exams.

Step #5: Add the exam to your shopping cart. Repeat this until all the exams that your student intend to take are in your shopping cart. Then click "Proceed to Checkout".

Step #4: Choose the exam that your student intends to take.

Step #6: Here you may "Pay with PayPal" OR "Pay with Debit or Credit Card".

AP Pre-Administration Sessions: 4/30-5/4

All students taking an exam at Logan must attend a pre-administration.  Once you have confirmed that you are registered for a test, please come to the pre-administration session scheduled below.

*If you cannot attend the pre-administration for your alpha, please attend any pre-administration you are able to attend*

AP PRE-ADMINISTRATION SESSIONS WILL BE HELD IN THE LIBRARY REFERENCE ROOM @ LUNCH AND AFTER SCHOOL!

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Can non-Logan students register take AP exams at James Logan High School?

Answer: No. This year, we will only be testing students who reside within the boundaries of the New Haven Unified School District.

2. What if my parent/guardian never created a Parent Connect account?

Answer: Well, now is a great time for them to create one! Have them contact their House office and an account will be expedited. 

3. What if my parent/guardian lost her/his password?

Answer: No worries!  Use the "Need Your Login Information" link on the Parent Connect web-page to access your account information.  This is the fastest method to retrieve your account information.  (If that does not work, please fill out this form, and school staff will contact you in a few days with your account information.) If you need further assistance, please contact the  (510) 471-2520 x60102.

4. Is a PayPal account required to purchase exams through Parent Connect?

Answer: No! If you scroll to the bottom, you can pay with a Debit or Credit Card instead of a PayPal account.

5. What if I mistakenly registered for an exam, can I receive a refund?

Answer:  Logan's refund policy is - 

  • If a student registers for the exam and cancels before March 25, a full refund will be issued
  • If a student registers for the exam and cancels after March 25, a penalty of $15 will be applied per test
  • No portion of the test fee is refundable after April 15
